All Munkos are uniquely the same; All Munkos are uniquely different.
Concept, ideation, creative direction, technical direction.
NGNM was responsible for creating a concept with David Choe for his next experiential artistic endeavor. We brought in our partners at Unit9 and Nervous to help. While this began as an exploration into a community built around NFTs, it has now taken on a life of it’s own. Good luck Munkos.
David Choe is an American artist who is known for his unique and often controversial style. He has painted murals all over the world, including in the United States, Europe, and Asia. In this video [below], Choe reveals what he has been working on for the past two years: Munko, a new NFT project that he is calling his "greatest and most involved artwork I've ever made." Choe explains that Munko is a "living, breathing, evolving" piece of art that will be constantly changing and growing. He says that he has been working with a team of scientists and engineers to create a system that will allow Munko to respond to the actions of its holders. For example, if a Munko holder smiles at their Munko, the Munko will smile back. If a Munko holder is angry, the Munko will become angry as well. Choe says that he is excited to see how Munko will evolve and change over time. He says that he hopes that Munko will become a "living, breathing, evolving" piece of art that will bring joy to people who see it.
